Twitter is basically the “PornHub” of social media platforms

Despite Twitter’s own policies, explicitly violent sexual content is readily available online, leading to the rise of massive psychological warfare.

CW: rape and self-harm.

The importance of hashtags on Twitter allows a large amount of sexual or NSFW content to flourish. However, there is a lack of policies and guidelines to prevent this, which makes Twitter the PornHub of social media.

‘DisinfoLab’ reported that community harmony is being targeted on Twitter in this psychological warfare.

Twitter is known to host a massive amount of adult industry content – from live webcam sessions to “offline services” – all of which are accessible using hashtags.

Many NSFW websites show their registration for providing pornography. However, in countries like India, the distribution, manufacture and publication of pornography is illegal.

The hashtag #IndianCamGirl typically appears and links to multiple service providers, according to the report.

The #IndianCamGirl hashtag started in 2017, involving many influencers. It is regularly used as an ode to highlight Twitter’s lack of effort to address such concerns.

However, the “services” engage in the mining of data from their users with the aim of being used for criminal activities such as “sextortion”, sexual exploitation and sexual exploitation of minors. leads to morbid consequences such as suicide.

Twitter’s “free porn” environment and relaxed demeanor are used to arm explicit content.

In its report, DisinfoLab said that complex psychological warfare is taking place to undermine community harmony in India, especially between Hindus and Muslims. The report noted,

“Hundreds of fake handles are waging coordinated campaigns, dehumanizing women of both religions. These handles claim to be Hindu (#hstuds) when they demean Muslim girls (#mslut); and Muslim (#mstud), while humiliating Hindu girls (#hslut).

The behavioral patterns of these pseudonyms, including the date of account creation, activity, location and use of the hashtag, indicate an organized campaign to harm social harmony.

Other social media platforms like Facebook appear to have “coordinated inauthentic behavior” (CIB) policies, but Twitter does not appear to be taking any action in this department, according to the report.

Twitter is a US-based for-profit company that obeys US laws, ignoring the laws of other countries, such as India, which prohibits adult content on social media.

The report notes that Twitter has failed to incorporate simple “location” and “age” filters, making it very easy for children to access this content if they want to.

Twitter has been accused of being blind to obscene content on its platform, such as child pornography, despite its policies on the sexual exploitation of children.

“To access the Twitter Hub, you don’t even have to have a Twitter account. An open Google search could lead anyone, even a minor, to most of the gory and vulgar content available on Twitter with a single click on “show sensitive content”. It looks like #Google needs to take action to control it as well “, notes the report.

We can assume that Twitter may have intentionally taken this attitude to facilitate a market breach, as platforms like Instagram have long targeted members of the adult industry, censoring and banning their content.
