KT Telecom and Turk Telekom to Collaborate in Media Content via Partnership Agreement

KT Telecom and Turk Telekom, a Turkish company, have signed a partnership agreement to work together in the field of media content. They seek to foster collaboration for the said field through a fifth-generation private network setup and joint investment in some startups.

According to The Korea Herald, the agreement between KT Telecom and Turk Telekom follows the non-binding memorandum of understanding or memorandum of understanding they signed in March at the Mobile World Congress. At this time, they agreed to cooperate on some businesses and projects.

The South Korean telecommunications company said its new deal with Turk Telekom would give its Internet Protocol TV service subscribers better access to Korean media content. It will also allow them to enjoy streaming services with K content which will be provided by KT.

The agreement also marks the two companies’ agreement to work on other units or aspects of the media content exchange. It may also lead to the creation of new multimedia content, depending on the response of Turkish users to the service offer.

It was added that KT Telecom has also agreed to provide its private wireless network technology to create a corporate network for the Turkish telecommunications company by next year. This private network infrastructure will allow businesses or government customers to enjoy wireless networks with better speeds, improved security and lower latency.
