Deloitte acquires media technology consultancy NTC
Deloitte US has acquired National TeleConsultants (NTC), a technology consulting firm based in Glendale, California, specializing in the media and entertainment industry.
Founded in 1981, NTC provides technology consulting, design and systems integration services to program producers and distributors, video-focused technology companies, television stations, institutions and government agencies. The company helps customers solve media system problems, create custom software solutions, and transition to the cloud, new formats, and new distribution platforms.
NTC has more than 50 employees, according to LinkedIn.
Deloitte’s acquisition of NTC will add deep software engineering capabilities to the media and entertainment (M&E) practice within its consulting business.”The NTC Group has deep expertise in the cloud,” said John Footen, managing director of Deloitte’s M&E practice. “We are working with them on some facility builds and our team has done a lot of the strategy, project management/program management type of work. Thus, the integration of NTC allows us to carry out all the different aspects of a program, including engineering and implementation tasks.
NTC executives Peter Adamiak and Laurie Morse will join Deloitte as managing directors.
Other significant acquisitions by accounting and consulting firm Big Four in software and product engineering over the past five years include Dextra Technologies and Hashedin Technologies.
The company’s IT consulting acquisitions in 2021 include cloud infrastructure consulting firm Oracle BIAS Corporation, industrial cybersecurity expert aeCyberSolutions and anti-fraud technology firm Terbium Labs.
“We are thrilled to join forces with Deloitte Consulting, and look forward to helping our clients develop their business agility through the power of cutting-edge technology,” said Adamiak and Morse.
