Social media is essential for small businesses, but not all businesses have the time or resources to manage their accounts like large corporations, so they turn to software solutions to help them plan and publish their content. .
Patrick Johnson, loan consultant at Mortgage Choice, said the company has implemented Metigy, a digital marketing solution to help it take control of its social media and marketing.
“What we struggled with, and what Metigy helped alleviate, is that time management is a huge thing, especially in this type of market. Oftentimes marketing and advertising gets put on the back burner because that you already have so many leads coming in, we want a way to automate that marketing,” he said.
Johnson explained that having this solution in place means they have one less thing to worry about.
“You can set up a posting schedule on different social media platforms, we have LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram. It’s a full-time job of thinking about content, publishing it, and reaching customers. That was the biggest issue we faced as a business is how to distribute that content effectively and consistently,” he said.
“Before that, it was more about running a Facebook page doing Facebook posts, and you got a few likes on it. It would be good anecdotal marketing, it was quite effective in a small space, but it wasn’t not consistent and it wasn’t wide enough.
Metigy gives Johnson and the team at Mortgage Choice a breakdown of their posts and how far they’ve been on the site.
“It’s just a weight that slips away from you as business owners and working in the franchise itself to have that kind of support or comfort is pretty good,” he said.
With this free time, Johnson is focused on building a personal brand.
“The time it saved me personally, being a new broker trying to establish my own brand. For example, I recently started a LinkedIn Page and it has been very beneficial for me to have these posts because LinkedIn’s algorithm works based on how often you post, what you post and how destination,” he said.
