AERQ, ABOVE to collaboratively automate multimedia content supply chain

Following discussions that began in 2019, AERQ and ABOVE announced a formalized partnership where they will work together to automate the multimedia content supply chain for commercial aviation in the cloud.

AERQ and ABOVE have come together to overhaul existing media content supply chain processes, which they deem manual, time consuming and expensive. They say their workflow integration will enable 24-hour service level agreements for end-to-end content delivery to planes and cut costs up to ten times.

Each part will focus on a different area of ​​responsibility. ABOVE will focus on multimedia file encoding, metadata generation, DRM protection and watermark; while AERQ will develop cloud-based automated system integration workflows to enable customers to verify the quality of the appropriate content management system integration using the cloud.

In addition to optimized workflows, the service aims to ensure transparency and control of the end-to-end media journey and its potential. This will allow airline customers to integrate their existing media and ancillary revenue partners, including content service providers.

The resulting service will be available to AERQ customers once the company enters the market with its digital solutions for aircraft cabins between Q4 2023 and Q1 2024. It is already in conversation with potential customers.
